The new Ajith-Gautham
Menon film is all set to go on floors by the end of February. After the stupendous
success of "Veeram", Ajith fans are eagerly waiting to get updates
about his upcoming project. The Ajith-Gautham project was announced prior to
"Veeram" release, and it was
reported that the actor would begin the film from 15 February 2014.
However, it now seems
the date has been pushed to February end. The buzz is that the film will
kick-start on 27 February as Thursday appears to be a lucky day for AM Ratnam,
the producer of the Ajith starrer.
This is the first time
that Ajith is teaming up with Gautham. The untitled flick will have Anushka
Shetty playing the female lead, with the actress expected to join the team on
the first day itself. However, an official confirmation is still awaited on
this. Details about other cast members are also yet to be revealed.
Expectations are high
on the project as the Ajith-Gautham-Ratnam team is likely to come out with
nothing short of a spectacular film. Ajith, who has sported
a salt-and-pepper hairstyle in his recent releases, will reportedly shed that
look. The buzz is that the actor will appear in a distinct look in the new film.
Sources close to Ajith have confirmed that the actor will have a new look, and
it will be guarded until the film hits the screens.
After completing the
film, Ajith will undergo a surgery for injuries he sustained during the shoot
of "Arrambam." The actor has been delaying the surgery to accommodate
his film commitments. But he has reportedly decided to undergo the procedure in
September this year, when the Gautham directorial is likely to be completed.
